Cave Paintings (2016)

While working on this series I was crouched, prowling, painting with latex paint on thick sheets of polystyrene lain upon a cement floor. Even though my materials dated me as an artist of the Plastic Age, I nevertheless felt in continuum with the first painters, the ones who used ash and secretions and sticks to make sense of the viscous chaos and settled beauty of the landscape.
